Erik Jacobson is thrilled to be returning to Kalamazoo and stepping into the role of music director of KMC.  Originally from West Michigan, Erik has spent the last year as the Interim Executive Artistic Director of Milwaukee Children's Choir.  Erik is the General Manager of VCM USA, a choral music foundation supporting the work of professional choral ensembles, VOCES8 and Apollo5.  He helps lead the VOCES8 US Scholar program, clinics throughout the country, and is working to bring the VOCES8 Method to students and educators everywhere.  Erik previously taught high school at Kalamazoo Christian Schools for 5 years and has a plethora of professional performance experiences.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Western Michigan University and a Masters of Music Education from Boston University..
